Comments

It takes me hours to write each essay. I often develop them over several months, but usually I mull them over for at least 3 or 4 weeks. So before you comment remember:
"Study is like the heaven's glorious sun, that will not be deep-search'd with saucy looks."

  • Read carefully, follow up the references and links; which takes time.
  • Think about the issue and what I've said about it, which takes more time.
  • Form an opinion, and take your time to write about it as clearly as you can.
  • If you disagree then take time to say with which bit, and why.
  • Stay on topic!
  • If your jargon is unfamiliar it reduces the likelihood of your comment being published.
If your only contribution is to recommend I read a book you like, then don't.

Links are OK if they are relevant to the discussion. You can use simple HTML tags.

Quotes ought to be accompanied by a citation.

All comments are published at my discretion. I choose which conversations to pursue and which not to. I don't think of this blog as an open forum (see xkcd on free speech). I try to respond to every comment that doesn't go in the trash.
